Wire and wire form
Crozat Wire
Heat-treatable chromium cobalt wire, self-tempering during soldering — the material Crozat technique depends on.
C0410
Heat-treatable chromium cobalt alloy, stainless and tough. Its tensile strength allows clasps — even difficult ones — to be easily shaped without breakage.
It is self-tempering during soldering or heating at 450 °C, which is exactly what makes it necessary for any Crozat wire technique: the framework can be bent in the soft state and then hardened in place on the model.
Supplied in anti-rolling coiled spools, in a hard heat-treatable temper from 0.6 mm up to 1.3 mm.
