Antisnoring appliances
M.A.D. Series Leone
Mandibular advancement devices that treat snoring at its source — by holding the lower jaw and tongue forward.
M.A.D.Forward!Telescopic Advancer
These intraoral nighttime appliances treat snoring by acting directly on the mechanism that causes it — pushing the lower jaw forward. Mandibular repositioning pushes forward the tongue and the epiglottis, spacing them from the uvula and so solving the soft tissue vibration during the airflow that creates the snoring sound.
MAD appliances can also be used for the treatment of sleep apnea (OSA), since they resolve rear airway obstruction by restoring breathing capacity during sleep. The American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine holds that the most efficient appliances are bi-maxillary type, custom-made by a dental lab, and that they must allow an additional advancement over the construction bite position of about 4–5 mm.
All over the world there are many different types of MAD appliance for snoring syndrome and sleep apnea. Leone set out to accomplish and improve the elements for realising the most widely used appliances, in line with clinical and scientifically proven efficiency. This is the proposal, built on the requirements of any clinical specialist: appliance efficiency, high safety standards, and stability and comfort for the patient.
The Leone range
- Forward! — the bimaxillary Dorsal type appliance, with a 70° angulated screw body

- Telescopic Advancer — telescopic plug and tube arms in medium and long lengths
- Telescopic Advancer Dual — dual-activation telescopic arms with 25 % higher screw resistance
