POP® Expansion Screws

The POP® screw is the centre of the Leone expansion range. A techno polymer body is injection moulded at high pressure directly over the male screw, so the polymer reproduces the thread with absolute precision. The result is a continuous, steady expansion movement with no risk of the screw turning back inside the mouth.

Because the male screw never comes into contact with the orthodontic acrylic resin, its function is unaffected by the quality of the technical procedure or by a non-compliant curing time. Self-centering rectangular guides guarantee a biomechanical, perfectly symmetrical expansion, and their flat profile with built-in flexibility releases the force gradually for a physiological tooth movement.
